Valentine's Day is coming up! Are you ready for red hearts, cupids and flowers?? Every year you sit down with your kids making valentines with your kids for their classes. But where do you start?? There are so many options for kid valentines. Do you make them or buy the box of cards? Do you put a treat on it? Is it candy? Food? A toy? With all the food restrictions schools are imposing this year, you might want to stay away from food treats. After all, let's be honest, do you really want your kids to bring home more candy? I don't know about you, but we still have candy left over from the last holiday! So...what is a mom to do? I did a bit of research and found some common--but still fun--non candy valentines!
1. Bubbles. Either a bubble wand or the little wedding bubbles. I think the wedding bubbles would work best!
Possible sayings to go with your bubbles...You blow me away. I am bubbling with excitement that you are my friend. Being your friend makes me burst with joy.
2. Glow sticks. You can get these in packages of 6 from was-mart or the dollar store.
Possible sayings...You make my heart glow. My heart glows for you. Valentine I light up around you. You light up my life. Or a star wars theme.
3. Crazy straws.
Possible sayings...Sip sip hooray its Valentines Day. I think you are exSTRAW special.
Possible sayings...I'll get write to the point. You're all write. Write on Valentine!
Possible sayings..Let's stick together. I'm stuck on you!
I know these sayings are really cheesy, but don't spend too much time on the card or valentine. It doesn't stick around for very long!!
Hope this helps! Happy Valentine creating everyone!
